Chateau Avli is located in the village of Glushnik, Sliven region, 17 km from the city of Sliven itself. The winery as well as the wine brand bear the name of the medieval city of Avli known for its agriculture and winemaking. The word "Avli" translates as "backyard". Their own vineyard area spans across 330 decares and their planting began in 2006 at the foot of the Sliven mountain. The varieties grown are Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Caladoc, Syrah, Muscat, Pinot Grigio, Gewürztraminer and Viognier.
