Enjoy the wine experience at the remarkable Manastira (Monastery) wine cellar located in the village of Lesichovo, Pazardzhik province. The name of the cellar is inspired by a spiritual centre that was formed during the Second Bulgarian Kingdom along the waters of the river Topolnitsa 3 km from Lesichovo.
There was once a miraculous icon of the Holy Virgin in a monastery but the monastery was burned by the Turks and its existence is evidenced by the thick foundations in the ground that resisted the fire.
The winery is surrounded by its own 30 ha of vineyards and their balcony allows for true admiration of this vineyard landscape.
After following the path of the wines of the Middle East, Riverside and Ilaya series you can enjoy a tasting of 3 or 5 of them served with snacks in the tasting room. The name of each brand is a key to the history, terroir, and philosophy of the winery, and when it is told personally by the winemakers or the owners the tasting becomes a real experience.
