The first stop is Rupel winery, who are the organizors of the bike tour. It was established in 2005 and grows the varieties Melnik 55, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Marcelan, Sangiovese, Nebiolo, Tamyanka, Melnik Rubin and Pinot Noir, Sandanski Misket, Vermentino and Viognier. Among these vineyards stands a beautiful chateau, which provides wonderful opportunities for wine tastings, lunches and dinners, outdoor events, wine picnics and other experiences such as small seminars and team building.
This is where the cycling adventure begins - a tour from Rupel winery (Dolno Spanchevo) to Orbelus winery (Kromidovo) on foot or by bike, an old agricultural road in nature, with the opportunity to observe birds, wildlife, plant species and view over 50 years old vineyards, unique views of Pirin. Of course you will be guided by a guide.
Time to go and return to the winery Orbelus - an hour and a half.
If you want, you can visit as well Orbelus winery with a tasting of organic wines from its portfolio. The wine cellar impresses with its architecture, resembling a large barrel for aging wine. Back in Rupel, where the wine experience awaits you- outdoor wine lunch with wine tasting. Lunch can be organized in the green yard of the chateau, with an incredible panoramic view of the vineyards and the surrounding mountains or in the small gazebo among the vineyards. In case of bad weather, lunch is organized in the chateau.
